Polkadot (DOT) Enters Coinbase Futures Trading with XRP and DOGE
Polkadot’s native digital currency, DOT, has clinched a fresh listing on an exchange.
Coinbase, a prominent global digital asset exchange, has declared the rollout of perpetual futures contracts for Polkadot (DOT) as well as two other digital currencies on its advanced and international trading platforms.
According to a recent tweet, Coinbase has introduced perpetual future contracts for Polkadot in addition to digital assets such as Internet Computer (ICP) and NEAR Protocol (NEAR) on the Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced platforms.
The DOT-PERP, ICP-PERP, and NEAR-PERP markets are now operational on Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced, indicating that trading has commenced in earnest.
Polkadot now stands alongside prominent digital currencies like XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), Solana (SOL), Optimism (OP), Arbitrum (ARB), Ethereum Classic (ETC), and several others that have been enlisted as perpetual futures on the Coinbase International crypto exchange.
The Coinbase International exchange, exclusively accessible to users outside of the U.S. in specific regions, was launched in Bermuda in May 2023 and initially offered BTC and ETH perpetual futures. This selection now encompasses various major digital currencies, including DOT, ICP, and NEAR, which are the latest additions.
As previously highlighted, the Coinbase International exchange recently achieved a notable milestone by exceeding $1 billion in notional contract volume traded within a 24-hour period for its perpetual futures offerings.
